Comistra

Comistra is a company that produces mechanical wool or regenerated wool by recovering waste from the textile industry.
For four generations it has been implementing a true circular economy, with machinery that applies cutting-edge technologies to a traditional concept: recycling old clothes and creating new fabrics of the highest quality. Sustainable fashion, true eco-fashion on a global scale that respects our wonderful planet and limits waste.
Inside there is still a complete water carbonization and ragging plant, the only one still fully operational in the world. In a historical moment in which eco-sustainability is so important, Comistra wants to see its production process recognized as an example of low environmental impact.
The pioneer of this wonderful adventure was Alfredo Tesi who in 1920 was already active in the regenerated wool sector, passing on the precious experience to his son Rolando who founded COMISTRA in 1951. In the 1980s, with his grandchildren Fabrizio and Cinzia, important investments were made in technology and development.
Even today the family continues to be the beating heart of the company which, with love and unchanged passion, has combined the usual marketing of raw materials with the production of yarns. and fabrics.
