Experiential itineraries during New Year's days

There are many activities planned for the Chinese New Year in Prato. If you have decided to spend the weekend of the 8th and 9th of February in our city, our proposals can help you to choose and make the most of an unparalleled experience.

TWO DAYS IN PRATO
If you are in Prato for the weekend, we offer two itineraries:

Saturday 8th February 
9 am - Try the real breakfast with chopsticks!
11 am - Visit the Buddhist Temple or take part in the food tour at 12 pm to discover the different regional Chinese cuisines
2-6 pm - It's time for the Dragon parade at Macrolotto. If the little ones love creative activities, at 3.30 pm don't miss the opportunity of the workshops at Prismalab
7 pm - Traditional Chinese music at Collegio Cicognini
And finally, you can't miss dinner in one of the restaurants that are participating in the New Year with fusion dishes.

Sunday 9th February
9-11.30 am The Dragon parade arrives in the centre
Lunch in one of the restaurants participating in the New Year's Eve with fusion dishes
3 or 5 pm - It's time for the Tea Ceremony at the Metastasio Theatre; if you want to discover our city on foot, the tours between the Middle Ages and contemporary art are for you (2.30 pm)
End the day with shopping at the Cardato Riciclato Pratese Temporary Shop open until 7.30 pm.

Or....

Saturday 8th February
9 am-1 pm - Start the day with the parade in the Macrolotto or at 11 am and 12 pm you can visit the Buddhist Temple
12 pm - Street food tour for a dive into Chinese regional cuisines
3.30 pm - workshops for children and families at Prismalab or an afternoon at the cinema (3 pm) with the film that won the "Un Certain Regard" award at the Cannes Film Festival
7 pm - Traditional Chinese music at the Collegio Cicognini
To finish, dinner in one of the restaurants participating in the New Year's days with fusion dishes.

Sunday 9th February
9-11.30 am - The Dragon parade arrives in the center
10 am-5 pm - Visit the Andrea Cavazzuti photo-exhibition at the Cassero
Lunch in one of the restaurants participating in the New Year's days with fusion dishes
2.30 pm - Discover our city on foot with tours between the Middle Ages and contemporary art

ONE DAY IN PRATO
If you are only in Prato on Saturday or Sunday, here's what you can do:

Saturday 8th February
9 am - Have breakfast with chopsticks!
11 am - Visit the Buddhist Temple or take part in the food tour at 12 pm to discover the different regional Chinese cuisines
2 pm-6 pm - It's time for the Dragon parade at the Macrolotto
End the day with shopping at the Cardato Riciclato Pratese Temporary Shop.
Dinner in one of the restaurants participating in the New Year's days with fusion dishes.

Sunday 9th February
9-11.30 am - The Dragon parade arrives in the center
Lunch in one of the restaurants participating in the New Year's days with fusion dishes
3 pm - Visit to the Buddhist Temple or discover our city on foot with the tours between the Middle Ages and contemporary art (2.30 pm)
5.30-7 pm - It's time for the Tea Ceremony at the Metastasio Theater or visit the Andrea Cavazzuti photo-exhibition at the Cassero (10 am-5 pm)
