Centre of Natural Sciences of Galceti The Natural Science Center will take you on an exciting journey to discover the wonders of nature

Here you will not find a zoo, but much more!
The Centre, founded in 1967 and located in the Monteferrato Protected Natural Area, hosts a natural science museum and a 16-hectare environmental park where animals such as peacocks, deer, wild boars, turtles, swans, ducks and others live freely. Furthermore, thanks to the wildlife recovery service, animals such as hedgehogs, hares, birds and raptors are cared for and readjusted to life in nature.

The museum is an ideal destination for families and schools, with numerous scientific and educational activities that will help you discover the rich and interesting museum heritage. Inside the Franciscan Convent of Galceti, you will find a vast collection of stuffed animals, minerals, rocks, herbariums and shells, as well as finds from the Mousterian Station of Galceti.

The Reptile House, created in collaboration with the Specola Museum of Florence, houses numerous animals victims of the exotic trade, including boas, pythons, iguanas, monitor lizards and parrots. Furthermore, you can admire the Astronomical Observatory and the Planetarium, where experts will lead you in interesting educational observations.

And for those who love nature, the environmental park is a true paradise just a few steps from the city, where adults and children can take long walks in the greenery and learn many curiosities about the species you can find there.

Don't miss the opportunity to visit this unique place, where nature and science meet to give you an unforgettable experience.

Even if the Center is currently temporarily closed for restoration and reorganization of the spaces, they can't wait to reopen their doors to welcome you!
