Chou noir avec tranches de pain

Cabbage with slices of bread is a classic Tuscan winter appetizer. This simple dish, rooted in tradition, comes to life thanks to black cabbage, which becomes particularly tender and tasty after being touched by night dew. Preparation

Cook the black cabbage in plenty of salted water. In the meantime, toast the bread slices, then season them with salt, pepper and, if you prefer, garlic.

Wet the slices of bread with the cabbage cooking water, then on each of them place a spoonful of previously boiled beans and, subsequently, the well-drained cabbage.

Season everything with plenty of extra virgin olive oil.
